BHQ exclusive Dodo

Post by 8th_Note »

Just saw this. The Dodo is not my cup of tea, per se. But I'm sure many will enjoy this

Like I said in the other thread, I just got the St. Nick’s one. I’m not sure I can justify it for the scales alone.

We got two Dodo exclusives in one year before we got GTA6.

And I swear they'll make anything but a Bodacious variant 😭

Definitely surprising seeing multiple Dodo's this year! Odd choice, but cool to see something different getting some exclusive love.

I have a feeling that this exclusive was ordered four to five years ago. It just goes to show how long things can take with their current production capacity.

I am getting one of these to try out. I am a big blade guy too, but this little rascal looks like a killer knife to whittle with.

I send that, it would fill my need for the XL. Now if they could do it with the old school Dino jimping.

Corner of a Sharpmaker triangle rod, or freehand on the edge/corner of a bench stone.

Don't forget the Doublestuff 2. For those who sharpen freehand, it works well on both serrations and recurves, not to mention, serrated recurves.

The red and black St. Nick's exclusive is still available, if you prefer that colorway. Priced a bit higher though.

I sharpened my old blue one with the corners of the sharpmaker, stopping shy of the tip.

then I'd free hand the tip area with the flats of the rods.

The sharpening of this knife, well I been wanting an excuse to get the CBN rod setup. My hones are all the flat diamond hones and the corners are all nice and sharp and square and I really want to keep them sharp edged corners.

So, I am going to be getting a knife and CBN system to service this unique blade design... I have trolled the Poliwog that is another very unique knife design also that looks like a good whittler also, and this knife blade I can hone on the equipment I have. So, maybe get both of these knives lol...

They both look really cool for a little knife with a bigger grip. All I need is a few more knives and another honing system lol...

I like it, but I think I will like the Starmate more. So many options we are spoiled for choice.
