Sad. What I do not understand is this. I know he survived throat cancer and had health problems. But he is a rich man. How does a rich man with the best health coverage in an advanced medically scientific nation die at a mere age 65 from pneumonia? I had a friend who died of that at 85 after a life time of hard work but 65? Very sad. I will miss Val.

RIP. He was fantastic as Jim Morrison.

Absolutely, so good it was scary . One band I missed not knowing they were playing at a small town not far away when they did their first tour . Dan

Val Kilmer's portrayal of Doc Holliday redefined the role. I also enjoyed his character in Spartan. Probably my favorite movie of his is The Salton Sea.

R.I.P. My favorite Val Kilmer movies were The Doors, then Top Secret. I also liked him in Tombstone.

His accent was atrocious in Tombstone. He tended to swallow his words and the accent wasn't right at all. :rofl However, his acting was really good.

Its has nothing to do with poor or rich. The man still had Cancer and was still getting medication for it.
Now Cancer medication like some medications for other diseases are killers of the immune system.
I can speak for this as my own meds (other disease) do the same. We can be the strongest man alive but with those meds even being close by to a sick person makes us sick aswel no contact needed!
Now Pneumonia is one of the worst diseases out there for people with bad immune systems.
If you catch that you are going to be incredibly bad and with this background at an age of 65 your as weak as a person of 90. So i am afraid his luck ran out and it was gods wish for him to pass on.
