CPM Prototype Steel

#1

Post by Deadboxhero »

There is a new unnamed CPM Prototype Steel being sent out for knife testing.

No details are available yet, it is labeled "CPM Proto" but that is just a place holder and not the actual name.

Was this steel designed specifically for cutlery?

I'm sure Dr Larrin will talk more about his steel when the time comes.

Hi Shawn,

I guess we'll see if Crucible will sell us enough for a Mule Team run?

That would be cool. I think though with the name "prototype" involved there may not be much of it until it is no longer a prototype.

However, I guess we never know until we ask?

I’m guessing it is a more wear resistant version of magnacut? Sounds interesting.

Very interesting read and must say the knife design hits a lot of spots for my taste . Looks very comfortable in hand for extended use and beautiful . MG2

Thank you.

Everyone at hunting camp was a big fan of the design.

They liked how comfortable and secure it was in any hand grip.

Especially the reverse grip.
