15V Future Models?!

#1

Post by Studiousworkman »

Hi all,

I believe this has already been addressed but I can't quite remember so I want to ask...

Will the 15V protocol be put into production on other popular Spyderco models? Such as the Lil' Native? Para 3? Among others.

I am aware they are producing a Manix 2 lightweight with 15V soon.

Thank you and I look forward to hearing your responses!

Short answer, yes. Check out this thread of the recent Amsterdam meet. Lots of Golden models getting the treatment.

A native 5 only seems proper.

A military 2 in 15V would be a ton of knife.

The Military 2 isn't really on my radar, but I might just have to bag one when it becomes available... just because.

I am not an engineer at Spyderco, but if the Native Chief can reliably be made, used and not self destruct, in 15V, Maxamet and other steels, I'm game I'll buy them. I want to buy a useable and reliable knife though.

If I can't have a Chief, I will be delighted to have a Military 2. That is also a great design. Either way we win! :smiling-hearts

I’m looking at the para 3 LW or the lil-native. I enjoy a lightweight carry that is compact.

I'll be looking for the Military 2 and maybe a Bodacious (I need to get my hands on one to see if I like it first)

Any updates about the manix LW 15V release date? The para 3 LW 15V is out now but I'm really waiting for the manix LW which is one of my favorite models!

Would be very interested in this as well. Although...was this already released?

EDIT: I guess it was an earlier G-10 version that was released:

I will have to have me one of these M2's if I get the chance. I been holding out for a bigger knife in the 15V.
