Leafstorm. Really got me liking Jade G10 so Blade HQ was a big hit later on.

Aqua Salt. I’d carried a stainless Mora companion for years and when I found out there was a similarly sized rustproof fixed blade I had to have one. Not long after that I picked up a Native 5 Salt (this was before all of the Seki LC200N offerings) and that was my first Spyderco folder. I carried it for a couple of years before I fell down the rabbit hole.

Stretch, followed by the Dragonfly 2, both in ZDP-189. 2009 or so.
Fantastic little combo.

I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

The Manix 2 Blurple. Upgraded the scales to cedar burl. I think it would look perfect with a Ti ball cage.
But I carry Natives all the time. XD

Re: What was your first Spyderco
Mine was either an aluminum handled serrated Cricket or a Tim Wegner Jr, still have them both, I feel like it was the Cricket first around 1995/96?
Losing the Wegner (or thinking I lost it) in 2011 was what got me to join here and jump headfirst into this rabbit hole! I had the Wegner for 10 to 12 years and after looking for it at every place imaginable for a month I finally gave up! I thought oh well, love the knife, I'll just order another new one....NO! What a dummy, what do you mean it's discontinued?? I soon learned the Spyderco way and here I am, still.
Found the Wegner four months later, it was inside the air duct under the drivers seat that pumped heat and A/C to the rear seat floorboards. That was one happy moment!

Re: What was your first Spyderco
Spyderco Pro-Venator
It’s was a long time ago when the internet was being developed and forums were a new thing
I then went onto the Caly Jr with the polished micarta, a Wegner, and a whole bunch more before I liquidated and went into collecting C&R rifles ( the early days of forums lead to many bad habits
They were good days

I Went into a gun store in The mid 80s and
Bought a serrated worker. That was my EDC for many a year, but led to a full Spidey addiction.

Re: What was your first Spyderco
Combo edge Endura with the barrel clip, sometime in the 90s.
Re: What was your first Spyderco
Technically a Police. My crazy uncle gave me one in 1995 for my 10th birthday, but it didnt last long. I broke the blade doing something dumb almost immediately, then lost it.
The K2 was the first one I bought myself, though.
Edit: actually the first one I bought was a fully serrated ZDP-189 endura, around 2007. I completely forgot about that.

Hahahaha!
That's bad@ss and hilarious.
I considered it a major coup when my paternal grandmother gave me a victorinox SAK when I was five years old.
Re: What was your first Spyderco
1999 or 2000. I was in my early 20s and it was my first non-Victorinox knife. AUS-8 Dragonfly with integral clip. Plain edge. Second knife was a serrated of the same. And so so so many different models since then.

Dfly 2 Salt SE followed a couple weeks later by the Native Salt and they are still my favorites

The original Paramilitary that my brother gave me in 2006. It has seen its share of abuse.

H1 pacific salt PE. Only bought it because of the rust proofness, and it started an obsession.

Re: What was your first Spyderco
Kind of same here, just the later Delica 4 version (but also sg and comboedge).
Almost never carry it anymore in a regular EDC context (where I prefer ffg and full SE, which means Salt 2...), but still love it as a brutal hard use folder.
I think some still don't fully realize what that true sabre grind blades can take, even more than the sabre hollow grind options of for example the H1/H2 models.
Especially in the by far most "vulnerable" part of the blade when it comes to actual breaking, the tip, my sabre grind Delica is superstrong.
But, as touched upon above, slicing and fine piercing performance suffer a bit in return.

Top three going by pocket-time (update April 25):
- EDC: Endela SE (K390). Endura thin red line ffg combo edge (VG10), Chaparral SE (CTS XHP)
- Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Endela SE (K390)
