The Military/Paramilitary/Para 3 are a legacy brand that demand a higher price. The standard Manix does not have certain features such as skeletonized liners. And the compression lock is arguably a more complex lock since it has more things which cause cause it to fail. The great thing about the CBBL lock is its simplicity.nerdlock wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2023 5:26 pmGoing off tangent for a bit, I wonder why the Manix, with full metal liners and a more complicated CBBL lock system, is more cheaper than a compression lock Spydie? I was thinking that with full liners and more internal parts, it should be more expensive than CL Spydies which have lesser parts, yet this one is more cheaper than most Lil Native exclusives, the smallest Spydie with CL so far.
it's been said here multiple times in the past that the manix was intentionally kept at a lower price on purpose. and the lack of skeletonized liners isnt the reason either because most of the exclusives are skeletonized and still cheaper than the stock models (but it's also been said that's probably because they were commissioned before price increases). at any rate, it's hard to say if the military/para family is more expensive because it's more popular, or more popular because it's more expensive. either way, it's not because it's better than the manix. everyone has their preferences, but these are all very capable and great designs. the manix isn't cheaper because it's somehow lacking.dull&blunt wrote: ↑Thu Jul 06, 2023 7:07 pmThe Military/Paramilitary/Para 3 are a legacy brand that demand a higher price.
