Don't you just love the USPS? ;(

Well, it shouldn't be any surprise to anyone that trades/sells knives, gadgets and gear off the net about the dependability of the USPS, but I sure wish that they could/would be more dependable.

Earlier this week, I sent off a Starmate in trade for a SS Police from Ron(sc_rebel1957). Having had many successful trades in the past, we sent off the usual manner that we always do and he received his new a couple of days ago and I'm STILL waiting for the Police to get here. I'll just I have to wait and see if it gets here on Monday....

Sorry, but I just had to rant....

I have never had it take over 2 days if I ship priority mail.Guess I have been lucky.

I learn something new everyday, even though I don't want to. Jeff

Was it sent priority "return receipt"???? That receipt seems to keep everyone honest!

I'm with you, Jeff. I've always received the shipment by the second day...the third at the latest.

BigT, I've had several successful trades with Ron. I don't have any doubts that the Police is in the mail, it just isn't here yet. BTW, we always ship Priority w/Delivery Confirmation.

Had always had good luck with USPS. I did have trouble with UPS 2 years ago. Always relied on them. They lost a small Sebenza for a week in St. Louis but it finally came through. Since then have used Priority mail exclusively.

I have to disagree with the first post. I have found the USPS to utterly reliable, much more so than UPS.

I'm afraid I'm a fan of USPS here too - Priority Mail has been the greatest thing since sliced bread for me. Almost always 2 days and never more than 3.

Still, problems DO happen and it sucks when it happens to YOU. Keep your fingers crossed, it will show up I'm sure...

I've had more hassles with them Universal Package Smashers, AKA the Big Brown Bomber guys. Never knew it was possible to break the tip off a packaged and folded folder. Ain't no way to treat a serialed SS Rookie PE!
Linda's Spydies migrate here within 2 days so USPS is A-OK with me. Never had a problem shipping and the rates are far better than FedEx or them other guys. Hope your Copper cruises in soon....maybe it stopped in at the Annual Spring Clearance sale at Krispy Kreme. Them Hot Original Glazed are priced to move!

I'm also a pretty big fan of the USPS, never had a problem. As a matter of fact, I'm wrangling with UPS right now -- something going from Florida (them) to Maryland (me) ended up in Illinois (huh?).

I always ship priority with a confirmation number, and I don't remember the last time it took more than three days to get anywhere, if it ever has.

KBR,

Don't worry...Your Police model will arrive tomorrow (Monday), as I'm also expecting a couple items via USPS Priority Mail tomorrow, and since good things come in "threes"...

I only appreciate them, but I just can't love 'em. How could I, when my package from Allen, sent last year in November, reached me this year in March? And my Millie from Spyderco was sent a month ago and still no sign of it!
But to tell the whole truth, usually the packages come in 2 - 3 weeks.

KBR,
I sent a package to Ron last week. USPS priority with delivery confirmation. No problem with delivery. I think this is a good way to go.

The SS Police finally arrived today....very happy with this classic Spydie.

Now that I have a PE, I'm definitely going to need a SE SS Police too....
