Missed out on the m4 military

#1

Post by Skoalart »

I am very upset about this. I just found out about it and in the time it took me to wait for my next paycheck it sold out. I am so frustrated. This was going to be my most expensive knife purchase to date and my 5th Spyderco. Guess I will lurk on ebay :(

No worries. The next latest and greatest steel is just around the corner. Maxamet hasn't even hit the military market yet. There is plenty of time for the next super steel military.

Or maybe a red G10 M390 , as the PM2 was a hit?

I had one in my cart, the internet went down for a couple of hours and when it came back up they were out. Called bladehq thinking maybe they had one unallocated, no joy.

BladeHQ seems to have them in stock. Maybe it's just an error.
I wish you luck, the M4 Military is terrific.

I was able to put qty 5 in my cart. If I try 6, it says 'there are only 5 available'.

I almost pulled the trigger one one. Talk of these being out made me a bit anxious. Then I calmed down.

I went a bit crazy this year, and I am officially done buying (there are only few days left :D ). I will wait to see what comes out in 2018 in the Military model. Looking forward to it.

Between this and the 52100 I have a hard time choosing a favorite.

Not that I have problems with BladeHQ, but my luck with this site is horrible. First there was a deal to get a free Polestar with the purchase of any m4 millie. I had to wait 2 days for my paycheck and by the time I was ready that deal just ended. So I decided to go ahead and purchase the m4 by itself. I checked out and everything. Apparently my card got declined and I was at work so I didn't realize for hours. When I tried again the m4 was out of stock. Luckily I found one very gently used for a great price. Now if usps would just be a little more hasty I could be playing with my new toy. :)

I'm pretty sure that deal ended because me and a few others who had already bought the Military asked on their Facebook page if we could get the Polestar free since we got the Military so recently. I mentioned that I could just return mine and buy another one to get the free knife... nobody replied and then like the very next day the deal was over. In retail you have to honor things like that, when an item goes on sale within 90 days of someone buying it (or however long they have to return it) there's nothing stopping them from returning it just to rebuy it at the sale price, so you always just give them a price adjustment.

It looks like they're out of Manix M4 also. Mine should be here today. It's my day to be the blind squirrel that finds a nut! :)

As I was out of the loop for a while, it wasn’t until this month that I found out these even existed! Glad it sat in BHQ storage as long as it did. Tied for most perfect out of the box Spyderco I ever received, right there with a GB1. Still reasonably priced on the secondary market, better snag one quick if you want.

M4 Millie is my first Millie. Can’t say enough good things about the knife as a whole. I haven’t really used the steel yet though. Just is so solid all over.
The first time I saw a Spyderco was the early 90s at a knife shop in a mall. I can still see the SpydieHoles through that glass display cabinet. My parents wouldn't buy any of them for me... so now I buy them all. :spyder:

Don't stress, I am a millie collector and let this one pass. As others said, the next latest and greatest could be just around the corner. I am hoping for Maxamet soon.
