does Spydie want us to report fakes?

A place to list and reference all Spyderco counterfeits, clones, and replicas that are found. Anything that isn't a legitimate Spyderco fits in this area.

Never a waste of time reporting them. Let us (and them) know so maybe something can be done about them.

Yes, we absolutely do. Our preferred method is posting links with any details you can provide here. That's actually why we created this area of the forum. This area consolidates reports so that our legal team can easily review each one.

Thanks much!

okie dokie...Here is a link to legitimate site called Auctionzip...http://www.auctionzip.com/search-result ... F23%2F2017
This is a company that allows auctions, estate sales, etc to be advertised as well as they do host online auctions directly...

Sadly, I personally know of at least three instances of individuals who have corrupted the intent of "Report It" sites or similarly well-intentioned manufacturer forum threads and have instead used them as a means to be notified of available "bargains." It's entirely possible that posting information on fakes, clones or "replicas" on a public forum unintentionally hurts a victimized company to some degree. There is no means to quantify the prevalence of this, but it should remain a consideration nonetheless.
