Finally bought a dedicated SAR knife!

#1

Post by vlawson »

Recently scored this Saver Salt for a good price! So psyched on it. It's perfect. My Ladybug SE will still always be clipped to my climbing harness (on technical rescues) but I'll now be carrying the Saver on my radio harness on all missions. Yay!

Just wanted to share. Excited, I am.

Congratulations on the new acquisition, looks like a good choice for S&R and you have every right to be excited about it. In my county the S&R team is kept pretty busy with a variety of call outs. You guys do good work!

Nice getup! Been thinking about one of those myself. I'm hoping to score an Autonomy when they're available in orange.

Stay safe.

Congrats. I love the conterra chest rig. My friend keeps one in his CERT gear. I'm too cheap to spend money on anything but knifes.

Strong work, and thanks for your SAR activities.

One degree of separation, from way back, incl. Kurt Wbg (I'm an old-timer who also tromped with his dad John decades ago); Bob R (birthday in two days, doing well after his stroke), Myles and Amy, etc etc.

best of times and best wishes to you

PS that new Saver Salt is color-coordinated for your TR cover pic /8-D

Ha! Awesome. Yea, small community over here, all familiar names. My roomate even works for Kurt.

Cheers!

Nice choice.

I often carry mine in my camelback when biking or hiking.

That is a great choice for a SAR folder. Now for a fixed blade ;)
