Spyderco.com Forum Knife 2003 Official Vote #2 (color)

#1

Post by Carlos »

By democratic process the Spyderco.com Forum has chosen the Native III as its Forum knife for 2003. Now we have to decide the color of the FRN handle. We’ll be selecting from gray (as previously featured on the Bladeforums Matriarch), and blue. We have a couple shades of blue available, so if blue is chosen we will have a follow up vote to select the specific shade.

To add your vote, just post a one line follow-up to this thread with your choice.

I've adde color samples here to help clarify the vote. Feel free to edit your post to change your vote as needed.

I am glad to see that the Native III won. Frankly I was diasppointed that the BF knife would be the Spyderhawk. I just like the Native design better and had been thinking about purchasing one. Now I can wait and get one of these. Now after I have finished rambling, I vote for BLUE (sort of a royal blue).

Blue, and hoping for a dark blue, almost black

Walk softly, carry a big stick.

Navy blue. Not many knives have any color, so blue'll be a nice change. A Case Lowe's blue would be about perfect, a deep navy.

Never underestimate the impossible.

The PE Spyderhawk will be the Bladeforums.com Spyderco Forum knife. Head over there to vote for the handle colour that you would prefer.

Jeeminee, Vox,

All those grey winter days in Scandinavia, I thought you'd appreciate the cheery clear blue of the skies, a breathtaking aqua of a south seas lagoon, the deep blue of a lovely Scadinavian lass' eyes, or something similar. Stop the sniveling and pick a color fer pete's sake! I'll get ya a Hawk and ask Ron (SC_Rebel) to file the teeth off just for you!

Hmm. I think I missed the pics of what the Native III will look like, and how it'll be different other than being VG-10. Lockback still, or compression?

Oh, and I vote for a dark blue.

My first choice is red but grey (gray) would be second. Lets keep it away from the blue that is used in the endura

Grey, I'd prefer it a lighter shade than the matriarch. Wasn't there already have a blue forum native?

I don't know how to spell gray (grey?), so I'll vote for blue (any shade).
