Today was a great day for the knife display :D
My new Manix 2 arrived and so did my Dodo.
Love the Spyderco LBK's and this is another great one of you ask me!
(Excuse the bad lighting on the photo, pretty dark outside...)

I had a hard time deciding wich one I wanted...
The Orange G10 or the CF.
I love Carbon Fiber, but my girlfriend was trying to convince me to buy the orange one.
She did make some valid points, like that the orange g10 really stands out in comparison to black in the collection.

In the end Carbon Fiber won, I just couldn't resist the extra bit a class it brings to the knife
and the contrast between the ceramic ball and the black just looks great :)
You either love or hate the Dodo design, but this version deserved some extra love!

I think that you made a right decision. IMHO CF Dodo is the cream of the crop. I love Dodos. I love orange scales, but CF Dodo is far my favorite out of all of them. Still once in a while catching myself thinking about getting one more.

I might get the orange one in the future, but for now this will surely do!
I'm glad I went with my gut and got the carbon fiber one :)
The Dodo will find it's way in the roulation for sure.
As a main blade or even a backup.
It might be small but it cuts like any other and the ergo's are amazing!

Wow, well sounds like I've been slacking and need to find a Dodo!

Maybe this is like sacrilege to some, but has anyone ever seen a Dodo with a reprofiled blade into a Wharncliffe? I could see myself using one like that often.

Does this forum have a classifieds section that I just have not found??? What is proper procedure for resale here?

No. Buying/Selling/Trading is prohibited on this Forum. My main source for discontinued Spydies is Ebay, and others will use BF or CPF or USN or any number of other forums.

There is such a thing as Private Messaging, however... ;)

You either love or hate the Dodo design
Brother you got that right!! Most of my non-knife friends really hate the looks of my Dodo models  I try my hardest to explain to them that the Dodo is truly primarily designed for function. But unless you are initiated in the Spyder-Kingdom you are just not even going to try to understand Eric Glesser's genius design. I didn't at first and I'll admit it because when I scored my very first one ( I still own it by the way) was back in 03 when they first came out. I truly thought it to be a novelty type knife or a Spyder simply designed for colllector purposes.

Wow! was I ever wrong with my first impression. Because when I EDCed it one day I was amazed at all that little strange design was capable of. It's one Spyder where I love the PE as much as I do the Spyderedge>> and I wish they would bring back the Dodo in Spyderedge. They do make a great collector's piece but believe me they are very usable as well.
