I am a newbie when it comes to knives. Not the old jack knife I owned when I was 10 and we played mumblety-peg. Yes sir, now 57 years later, I have a knife that is definitely a cut above. (pun intended).

I have read a lot reviews in this forum and most were helpful. I am on a limited budget now so i had to choose wisely. Now I'm here to tell you that some of the rumors that this knife has a dull blade, they are wrong.

I'll take this, fill my hand-sized blade to any knife fight. They'll never see it coming.

Smooth operation, even my wife with severe arthritis could open and close it pretty good. Nice to have around the house..

I also bought the Spyderco triangle sharpmaker. Good stuff.

Thanks for your help.

Excellent little knife, though I much prefer the Ladybug version due to thinner blade and the shape of the belly, it really is an amazingly capable little slicer.

Good choice on the Manbug in '189! Heckuva nice little slicer. :) Be careful, though. I've found out the hard way that it likes blood. :( (My blood, to be exact :o ). Welcome to the Forum!

Welcome to the bug side and congratulations on your new knife. You will love what spyderco does. You should try a Dragonfly2 with H1 steel it is rustproof and cuts pretty well. I started with one spyderco knife now I have over 20. And it has become my favorite brand, I do like other brands but this one is special.

+1 on the Manbug...the BEST ratio of sharpened edge length vs. weight IMHO...a whole lotta utility in a knife that disappears in a watch pocket or on a keychain.
