Forum Issues

#1

Post by Liquid Cobra »

Is anyone else experiencing problems with the forum today? Threads are not being updated when people comment. Many of the threads at the top of the general discussion show 0 comments, but when you click on them there are many comments inside. One thread loads to page 6 while showing there is a 7th page. When I click the 7th page it loads the 6th again.

I've checked to see if the problem persists across multiple devices and it doesn't go away.

Someone help, I need my Spyderco fix!

Edit: Also when I comment or post a new thread the page goes white and acts as though it didn't register the submission. If I open another window, the goods are there. Weird.
Most recently acquired: Military 2, Paramilitary 2 Tanto x2, YoJUMBO, Swayback, Siren, DLC Yojimbo 2, Native Chief, Shaman S90V, Para 3 LW, Ikuchi, UKPK, Smock, SUBVERT, Amalgam, Para 3 CTS-XHP, Kapara, Paramilitary 2 M390

Yes! I just added a collage of all the Amsterdam knives together, and the thread is still on page 2.
- best wishes, Jazz.

Yes, I noticed, but haven't mentioned it.

When I go in the Spyderco forum, it says one thread is the most recently updated. When I look at the forum list it says another thread is the most recently updated.

In Spyderco forum, a thread says someone is the last post, when I open the thread it says someone else is the last post.

Hopefully we don't have a serious database problem.

This morning I got up and checked the forum on my phone and was shocked to see no new posts at all. I figured it's Friday night and all but surely I wasn't the only person without a social life lol.

It's been wonky since yesterday I think. I posted a comment when I had 999 posts. The post count didn't roll to the 1,000 post milestone - it stayed at 999.

And it's still at 999 after this post too. Strange magic is afoot here gentlemen.

Ditto. I suspect that it will be fixed on Monday ...

vBulletin issued a few patches and unfortunately it would seem those patches have caused a few issues. We're working on them. We're trying to avoid taking it down (which vBulletin states is not necessary) but... time will tell.

Thanks for posting everyone. Hang in there.
There is nothing more important than this one day.

Given the timing of Wouter's thread of epix prototype knives the problem is obvious.

You broke the internet with awesomeness.
