Manbug Lanyard

#1

Post by VeloWeave »

Anyone run a lanyard on their Manbug? I got my father-in-law a Manbug for Christmas and he likes it. I know he would like to have a lanyard so I'm trying to source one, but need some help as I've never run a lanyard on any of my knives. He's not fancy so probably no lanyard beads unless it's a simple one. Just a little something nice, basic, sturdy. His Manbug is black FRN. Thanks in advance!

There's a lot of videos on youtube, showing different styles (chris reeve, noose knot, etc)
I have a reflective 550 paracord with cobra stitch on mine

here's a poor pic of my Jester with a knot that I found on youtube. I think it was described as a Chris Reeve lanyard knot on the video. I used a cord with a reflective strip and found that the reflective threads were much stiffer than the rest of the threads which made it difficult to make nice symmetric knots.

Just found this thread and then read the other one. Two things: I've seen all the YouTube videos about how to make them. But, for me, I'd probably get myself tied up! And, since I have a cameo para military 2 should I get a lanyard that is camouflaged or one so I can find the knife?

I'ts really up to you..personally I think a full black lanyard would go very well with the camo
There's also videos on youtube showing how to stitch up a lanyard using multiple paracords with different colors

yeah I think a black one would go nice too with the camo. If you want color maybe a green, gray, or brown.
