Dragonfly Clip Removal

#1

Post by mikefromsac »

I prefer to go clip-less with most of my knives. If I remove the clip from my Dragonfly 2, do I need to keep the screws in the scales to hold the rear of the knife together or are they only there to attach the clip? Basically, can remove them and leave them off permanently during use and carry?

I prefer the Dragonfly clipless. The handle is one piece, so you can leave the clip screws out if you want to. I leave mine in, they help me index the knife when I grab it from the bottom of my pocket.

Honestly, that cute little clip isn't even in the way if you just drop it in your pocket, and it could come in handy, but... that's my opinion.

The clip was the main reason I bought a Dragonfly...I got a Manbug when I want to go clipless. A Manbug has as much cutting edge as a Dragonfly, the only drawback...no choil. For me, the clip is a main factor in carrying a Dragonfly.

I carried my zdp D'Fly clipless for quite a while :) I would leave the screw in the handle :) With the D'Fly it's structural + You know where the screw is shoud you decide to reattach the clip :)
