Zdp 189 and g10

Post by speedcut »

Imho what is really missing from Spyderco's lineup is a 3.75-4 inch blade in Zdp189 with a G10 handle....i know we have the Endura in zdp but i'm tired of good steels in Frn handles.... What do you guys say?

Zdp189 and G 10 is a rare combination in Spyderco's lineup and i think it would sell well...i would certainly buy one :)

The G10 like CF ZDP stretch was as closest as you can get, not sure if Spyderco is still making one.

I'd be all over it to be honest. I thoroughly enjoy my ZDP blades, love that steel. Like someone mentioned, the closest thing is the CF Stretch...

I have requested for a G10 Stretch in ZDP on many "my dream Spyderco" threads. Matter of fact, there was one recently and I suggested an Endura in G10 and ZDP in which a forum member suggested that it may be too expensive for most people... That may be, but I'd love it. I mean the Endura G10 should return, and it might as well have Japan's best steel.

I'd be interested in an all new design 3.5+ inch folder in G10 and ZDP also.

A sprint run Endura in G-10 with a zdp blade would be nice. That is something I woud save for.

In general, I agree with you. I am grateful, however, that Spyderco offers superior cutlery steels to end users at a competitive price, which is what the use of FRN makes possible. Better to have a great steel in a cheap(er) handle than a cheap steel in a more expensive handle!!!

I concur, and I really... really like FRN anyway. Any given day, I have an FRN ZDP in my pocket. I would still love a G10 version as well.
