If this knife came with a lock back and a 3.5 blade like the Caly, I am thinking hall of famer...this been discussed before? There has to be something between the Yo 2 and the Bradley Air for a wharncliffe user

There was the Kiwi. There is a new Kiwi G10 shown in the Amsterdam thread, I think it's like a 3" blade.

Another notable mention is the Centofante 4. It was discontinued likely due to lack of sales. Wharnies are hit are miss for customers it seems.

I really like my Urban, having said that I would like it more with a lock. I know that Sal designed the Urban with the intent to provide a high quality slipit to customers who live in legally restricted areas. It proved to be prohibitively costly to manufacture. I'm all for another Wharnie...I'd love a knife somewhere between the Yojimbo and the Air...the large Kiwi looks very promising, I would like to see it in a color other than black and with a clip.

I find it noteworthy that some slipjoint makers, namely GEC, are making patterns with a large Wharnie as the main blade and a smaller pen blade as a secondary. Honestly, my C3.5 leaf blade is basically a wharnie with some belly to it.

Urban Wharncliffe is available right now at Sierra Trading at a good price; even better if you have one of the discount coupons. If you live in New York State (Sierra, like others, still doesn't understand the difference between New York city and the rest of the state) have them ship to a friend or relative elsewhere and that person can re-ship to you for the cost of a small Priority box.
