Diamond sleeves...an older style

#1

Post by Jeff/1911 »

Hi,

I was just at my local dealer and saw that they have a set of sleeves for the Sharpmaker stones that are triangular and open along the back edge. They appear a bit concave in shape and are said to be diamond coated. Does anyone have these? Do they work well and last quite well?

Thanks, Jeff/1911.

Jeff,

These are the old syle sleeves. IIRC they were discontinued because the diamonds wouldn't stay on.
I have a set that I haven't used a lot. They seem to work just fine, but I don't know how long they will last.
They were sold for use with the 203 sharpener and may be a little tight on the stones of the 204.
I think that you would be better off getting the current diamond stones.

Bruceter,

Thank you for your feedback, I'll wait for the new style ones to come in.

Cheers, Jeff/1911.
