I'm considering going this year for the first time. Any input on what day is the best to go or will I wish I was there for multiple days?
Who else is going this year?

2nd year in a row in which I have to miss......I live 3 hours away from Blade but fate doesn't want me to go. Probably the fact that I will be broke if I go to it.

Good luck to anyone who goes! Take pics!

Well, barring any unforeseen events, I plan on beeing there.I went a few years ago,and had a real good time, just like a kid in a candy store. It usually takes a good three days to look around, and do it any justice, because there is so much to see, you`ll enjoy it.

I've attended Blade every year since 2002 and plan to be there again this year. You can't do justice to the show in just one day: Friday and Saturday, at a minimum, but all 3 days is best.

I'm going to make my first trip this year. Got my hotel reservation already (they fill up fast, from what I hear).

I'd love to go, but as Lord Vader stated, Fate doesn't seem to want me to go this year. Have to take some time off to get my wisdom teeth yanked, so no time for knife shows. Argh.

You really do need more time, but if you can only be there for one day, then be there on Saturday because it's really the only full day. Friday is short with a VIP pass and even shorter without one. As for Sunday, unless things have changed in the last few years, half the custom makers and smaller vendors will have started packing up by noon.

Booking my tickets today. Pretty excited for this...

FYI, There are plenty of hotels in walking distance that are cheaper than those linked of the show website.

Even though Friday is the short day, I enjoy it. After the initial long line, the pace is a bit more relaxed and its less crowded. Nice for meeting, greeting and chatting.

If you had to pick only one day, I agree with Deacon that Saturday would be it. Unless you're trying to find something scarce, then you want to be at the head of the line on Friday and already have mapped out on the floor-plan exactly where you want to rush to.

I've never gone on Sunday (I'm usually worn out by going Fri & Sat), but I'd guess some bargains might be had.

I plan on going down Thursday night and getting the VIP pass for Friday - then spending all day Saturday there as well. I may cut out early on Saturday to make a side trip over to Highland Hardware - my favorite hardware store in the whole wide world.

I've been to some smaller shows but this will be the "big kahuna" for me.
