I wasn't aware there were two versions. What's the difference between them?DrChimRichalds wrote:Enjoy! Awesome price for that Sprint. Did you get the first or second variation? If you nabbed a first variation for that price, I'm even more flabbergasted. That was my first spyderco, you'll love it!

In the picture I can see where the liners are skeletonized, so I assume that means it's the second version. Were there 600 made of each kind, or 600 total split between the two versions?Donut wrote:The G-10 on the second version, you can mostly see through. The first version looks opaque.

I believe the first run with the more opaque scales was a 600 piece run while the second run with the semi-transparent scales was supposed to be 400 pieces.Random Dan wrote:In the picture I can see where the liners are skeletonized, so I assume that means it's the second version. Sorry, if I will disappoint you. This is not sprint. As you mentioned it is EDC forum knife. Main differences that sprint ideas comes from Spyderco and produced only once. Exclusives and forum knives can be reordered by customer, like in this case, blue para2 or USN Endura and additional quantities produced.Random Dan wrote:Saw an EDCF Moonglow Manix 2 for sale for $110 and couldn't resist :D I can't wait for it to get here! :spyder:
Still a good knife for a great price.

Hmm, there are already plans for another EDCF knife based on the Native so I doubt there will be any more of the Manix made.bh49 wrote:Sorry, if I will disappoint you. This is not sprint. I hadn't heard of it being a Native, I had only heard of a second knife being made.Random Dan wrote:Hmm, there are already plans for another EDCF knife based on the Native so I doubt there will be any more of the Manix made.

Well, they haven't actually said what it will be, just that it will fit in this sheath

Great price on the moonglow manix. I have read the comments about the differences between runs, but I have one from each run and can't tell the difference between them.
I really enjoy them for camping. Charge it up with a flashlight before going to bed, and hang it from the ridgeline of my hammock or tent, and have many hours of gentle nightlight, and I can see where the knife is to grab it quickly if I need to :) .

Which Knife, A or B? get Both! (and C, D and E) :)
Apparently the handle material on the secondrun was a different version moonglow and did not "glow" as long as the first run.rodloos wrote:Great price on the moonglow manix.
