Spyderco or look-a-like

Post by spyderedge »

Looking for a bracket for a project I came across this:

Look-a-like or the real Endura 1-4?
It is product ''F"
My :spyder: Endura 4 FFG Plain, Black in VG-10 had been my faithful EDC companion since 9/26/2012

"Locking Back Folding Knife Serrated Blade, 2-7/8" L Blade, 4-1/4" L Closed"

Fake? Too small to be an endura.

Also I noticed the picture was detailed everywhere except where the logo on the handle should be.

The handle in the catalog picture looks like an Endura. The specs look like a Delica. Being fully serrated and $75, I suspect it is a Delica, not a clone. McMaster sells quality goods.

Yeah, I bet anything it is the real thing. McMaster is real funny about not showing brands, but you almost always get name brand items. The only thing they typically have brands on is measuring tapes and calipers from what I have ordered. Love McMaster.

My mistake, there's two sets of specs, one equal to the delica and another equal to the endura. I'm not familiar with this seller.

I bet if your ordered either one you would get a Delica or Endura. Contact them, I bet they will tell you.

Well, duh! I only looked at the first F item when I replied earlier. It has to be the Delica and Endura. As already noted, McMaster is odd about showing brands but they carry good stuff. I use them a lot.

Hard to say, it's either a really poor quality photo of a genuine SE Endura 4, or a better photo of a very good fake. AFAIK, McMaster-Carr is a reputable company but they're a general hardware supplier, not specifically a knife or sporting goods dealer, so their knowledge of "real" vs "clone" knives might be limited enough for them to get fooled. Even if they're real, the prices are nothing to write home about, so you're probably better off looking elsewhere.
