Can we please please please have a shirt??

#1

Post by Minibear453 »

I saw a teacher walking by with a benchmade shirt today, and was reminded of how much I want a spyderco shirt. Especially the metal one, "Steel is the heart of the blade, heat treating is the spirit." Would it be possible for there to be another run of shirts? PLEASE? :D

The second could be a nice golf shirt. I would custom letter the back "Hole in One". :p

Do those shirts have anything on the back? For some reason, they've never really appealed too me, since it looks a little 'plain' with just a red spyder. Thanks for helping though. I'll probably buy one of those if Spyderco doesn't plan on making any other shirts.

Oh not sure. I just saw them the other day thumbing through the catalog.

I would be fun to have a front & back shirt though!

Wow, I never noticed these either. Microfiber too! Looks like I'll be exercising while sporting the spydie name. Haha, team spyderco!

Picked the "polo" type shirt up about a year ago and it fits nicely.

I don't often wear logo apparel, but when I do, I wear Spyderco!

I would kill for this set up on a normal, well made baseball hat.

That style of hat is not my thing though.

Never seen this one before. If it were real this would definitely be one I'd buy though. However, I'm much more interested in the "Molecule Gray" T-Shirt, and really hoping for a re-run.

I want some place to stock the regular T-shirt at something less than $35.

Just love my ALL GOD's CRITTERS shirt from the last 90s

I was fortunate because back in 01 or 02 I got one of the Spyderco T-Shirts with the "All God's Critters Have Knives" slogan along with the same art work they had on the 1997 Spyderco dealer's catalog. I just wore that shirt about a week ago. I'm very careful with it because I'm not hopeful we will ever see one again.

But if they did do another batch of them I would have 2 or 3 of them at least. It's a gorgeous murel design of several of God's wonderful animals displaying their ability to use the knives/teeth/talons/claws/horns/spikes/quills or whatever that particular animal has for defense or uses as a tool of survival.

If any of you haven't seen the All God's Critters Have Knives murel just look up one of Deacons threads on this subject because he had a great picture of it recently. I get compliments on that shirt from people who have no idea who Spyderco is at all. But it's just that good of artwork and I liked it so well I got a wall poster of it. But I do wish that they would reproduce that shirt again. I would love it if they would do a higher quality Polo type shirt with that slogan and artwork on it. Hey you all know what the GOOD BOOK says "you have not because you ask not">> so make your voice heard and let's get another Spyderco shirt in the lineup.

Exactly. Actually, how are spyderco shirts made? I doubt it's from the factory. And maybe they an always use custom ink or some other website to make these shirts?

I think Spyderco should do a T-shirt design contest where forum members can submit shirt design ideas, with the winning design (or two) made into an official shirt for the upcoming year. I came up with a shirt design for fun last year in a thread similar to this, but can't seem to find it from my phone.

I like the plain shirt. I don't wear a lot of super busy shirts, and especially not logo shirts. But $35 is a bit much...$20-25 is ok.

I love the military hat, but wish that it had a full back rather than that big ole gap in the back.

That shirt's okay, but it doesn't really say much. Just the company logo and name. I don't like those crazy busy shirts, but something more than a image on the front breast pocket. If it were to have something on the back it'd be perfect.

Not a bad idea at all and I could go for it if Spyderco for some reason doesn't want to do another run of the "ALL GOD'S CRITTERS HAVE KNIVES">> because it truly is one super cool looking design.

I do urge all of you to at least take a look at the murel design of ALL GOD's CRITTERs because I do think you will all love it.

But hey if someone can do something better I would be the very last person to object. It truly is puzzling to me why Spyderco isn't selling a T-Shirt or a Polo type shirt in their line up already.

It's legit Tony, they called it the "Tribal" pattern and it was in the catalog back in 2007, along with a brown t-shirt with a :spyder: and web design on the front. I'd love to see another run of the Tribal, either or both of the "All God's Critters" designs, or new designs based on some of Spyderco's other best catalog cover art. The 1986, 2000 and 2003 ones would be my top choices.

Another "golden oldie", this one came in red and black, with the same artwork...

...front looked like this...

...got those two on eBay, so not sure when they originally came out.

Why they are "spun", of course!

I like the simple plain shirts - Black shirt, Small Logo in Red and "Spyderco" in white - just on front breast pocket, and I'm good.

Simple and classy. I am not inclined to wear overly 'busy' illustrations.

The one that Deacon is showing in the picture where he is also holding up an original R model in his hand. There was one of the All God's Critters before that one which was also nice but I think the one he's got there is a better one IMO. On my Spyderco T-Shirt the Murel is on the back of the shirt and a simple "Spyderco" is printed on the front. I've got that same poster he's showing there too. Those are getting really tough to find so if any of you ever do find that one I advise you to grab if it's affordable.

excellent. Thanks for that link...I am mighty tempted to order that now.

I like that simple one. I often just wear a plain tshirt, so I'm ok with just that logo.
