Been a while since I have come over and posted. But every time I get a new Spydie I have to come here because you( all ) can truly understand the excitement! :)
What I getting you ask?? A little of the back story first. About 2 weeks ago I had one of my Spyderco knives out cleaning it. At the same time I had a friend over and he had brought one of his friends with him, a guy that I did not know. We got to talking about knives, and actually had a nice conversation about them and I got to show off my superior knowledge of them  :D Well they thought it superior. :) Anyway we decided to go out and get a bite to eat. I went into my bedroom to get dressed, as my buddy went to the bathroom, leaving my new "friend" on his own. I came back into the living room grabbed my keys and out we went. For the past 2 months I have carried my BM 275 Adamas exclusively, but was getting ready to change over to the Spyderco I had just cleaned. But we were sorta in a hurry so I didn't grab it from the rag I had used and wrapped it up in. When I came back home it was late, and I was tired, so I hit the bed and was out in short order.
When I got up the next day, it being Saturday, I got dressed and intended to head out to the store for a newspaper and a cup of coffee. I went into the living room to grab the Spydie, only it was not wrapped up in the rag! It was like a ton of bricks hit me. I am certain the new "friend" helped himself to the knife as I got dressed and my other friend went to the bathroom. I got on the phone, called my buddy, told him, and then asked if he thought it possible that the knife was stolen. He said it was possible since he had had a couple items go missing when the guy was over at his place, but the guy denied it and he let it go, even though the items were fairly expensive.
Next step was to get the telephone number of this guy and call him to ask point blank if he had picked up the knife and taken it with him. Of course I got a vehement "NO". At this point I simply let it go and figured I would go around to the few pawn shops in town to ask about the knife and to let them know to call me if one of this model of Spyderco's shows up. So far nothing has. I've checked ebay, but nothing there either. Now since I took my dremel and brought the height of the liner lock down a bit, and replaced the original clip with a foldover, I figure that will help me identify and prove it to mine, especially since I took pictures of it. My friend is going to keep his eyes on the guy to see if he slips up and happens to carry it thinking all is cool and figures he can always say he bought one just like it. What a surprise he will have!
Well that is quite a long story just to tell what Spyderco knife I have coming in tomorrow. So what knife got stolen and is being replaced? None other than my favorite Spyderco knife, the Vallotton Sub Hilt! :) :) :) I will be sure to post up some pics upon it's arrival.

My new Vallotton arrived this morning, actually yesterday morning since it is already Sunday on the east coast. But anyway, it came just like the other one....PERFECT in all respects. Here's a few pics, and I have added a foldover, deep-carry pocket clip.
