C139G Rescue...?

#1

Post by Highlander8 »

Does any gentleman here have experience with the C139G Rescue, and if so, what do you think of this interesting knife?

There just happen to be another thread recently asking and discussing the Breeden Rescue. Here's the link:

Hope that helps.

Since I don't own a rescue knife I probably shouldn't chime in. But, to me a rescue knife should also have a glass breaker. The whistle on the Spyderco assist is nice. That could come in VERY handy. Have you looked at that knife? The Breeden knife was designed by someone who has experience in rescue so he knows a lot more about what is needed then I do. I probably couldn't rescue myself from a wet paper bag.

I answered your gracious response, Jack: bloody thing just disappeared.

Looked at the Assist I, but chose instead to acquire two Salts, the Atlantic and the Dragonfly--I have rather used up my FRN quota for the month...; though it is clear that the Assist is an excellent knife, well-respected by reviewers. Thank you for the fine recommendation, and congratulations on that hungry young fellow!
