what they said.... M390 is my FAVORITE STEEL. Holds an edge with 20cp and M4, reprofiles a touch harder than s30v, and touches up a tad harder than vg10...it defies physics

M390 no doubt, it's a bit like comparing oranges to ... well... better oranges I guess.

Having said that, I am astounded at how good BD30P is. I expected something soft and horrid, but it holds an edge better than S30v (even though it is almost identical to s30v, maybe its a better heat treat), and easier to sharpen imho.

I'd buy another BD30P blade if they used it again, but I doubt that will happen since the one manix 2 sprint so far was a mistake as it is.

I'd suggest that the former is objectively true, but the latter is highly subjective. Both are easily excellent platforms, though, so I'd say there's no "better" and it comes down to personal choice.
