Trailer Park Boys. I love this show!

#1

Post by darkstar29 »

Being on voluntary layoff for the past 2 weeks, I needed something to occupy my time.. A guy can only handle so much housework and video games. :)
So, it's up to Netflix to keep me sane.. And I've already watched my favorite shows more than I care to admit :p
Something different is needed. After searching for awhile, Trailer Park Boys catches my eye.. I'd watched the movie a few years ago, and thought it was funny.. Why not try out the TV series?
Well, I'm hooked! It's the funniest thing I've ever seen! (next to It's Always Sunny)
I would try to turn this into a quote thread, but there would hardly be any words.. Just a bunch of these-->*********** :p

Sure. It's vulger, crass, indecent, .. or any other synonym you choose. But, the funny can't be beat. And if Bubbles was real, I'd give him money to be my friend :p

Has anyone else been bitten by the Mustard Tiger?

PATRICK SWAYZE!
Bubbles is cool, but his alter ego Concky is the best.

Oh yea Jim Lahey (with Randy) talking all his **** phrases.
Careful Bubbles, the shithawks they are flying in real low!

TPB was an exelent show, I watched all of them on netflicks just as you did.

Bubbles has a bar in Halifax that is pretty cool. Do you watch East Bound and Down, similar type of show, not as "authentic".

Just watched the entire first season about a week and a half ago. Great stuff! Season 2 is coming to Netflix streaming soon as well. I can hardly wait! I also highly recommend another show on FX, Louie.

I got turned on the the TPB's several years ago while crewing on a boat way down in Honduras. I brought home a copy of several episodes and put it into circulation among several freinds and started a TPB's craze up here in Georgia, LOL !!
I like how they use musicians as extras, like Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson and Gordon Downey, the lead singer from one of our favorite bands, The Tragically Hip ( they were the two cops that pulled over Ricky,Bubbles and Julian early in the full-length movie).
My brother and I still like to fish-up you-tube vids, especially with classic "Ricky-isms" like "supply & command", or "through denial & error....".
Oh wait, here's some now !!!! :D

Agreed.. It's hard enough finding a decent cast.. Let alone having the great writers to tap that talent and keep a show great. A few others:
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
The League (although this past season was less than their best)
The Office (the early seasons, 1-4 ..maybe 5..)
Parks and Recreation (Ron Swanson Pyramid of success lol)

Haha! There are so many great quotes in this show :D

It's survival of the fitness, boys.

Ricky: Well it’s quite a…step up in the world from bangin’ Randy and Lahey to bangin’ Julian, isn’t it?

Bubbles: That’s a weird thought, Ricky

A whole bunch more: http://tpb.randomblog.org/ :D :D
