Hello all, wondering if the only place to pre-order is Cutlery Shoppe??

Would be my 1st Para 2 and research on hear seems like a great steel choice (CTS-XHP)!?

Thanks for your time!

That knife is gonna be awesome. The Para2 is just without peer, and the XHP is proving to be one **** of a steel. Truly this knife will be a win-win. :D

It's a CS exclusive so you might preorder it with a dealer that has a couple collector numbers. My understanding is they would get one too.

Short answer: yes, Cutlery Shoppe commissioned the run and is the only vendor selling it.

Longer answer: Some other vendors are part of Spyderco's collector's club, which means that they will receive some of these knives too as part of their club membership. Most club members only have one or two numbers (I know of one dealer that has five or six, however), so there may be a couple of these knives available through these other vendors that resell their collector's club knives. If you want to get one, I wouldn't count on them having it available for you to purchase. Might as well just buy it from Cutlery Shoppe. The price is right and you don't have to stress over trying to source it from someone else (and probably at a higher price) down the road.

Get one fast. At the rate they're selling, they'll all be gone very soon.

As long as they're available directly from CS, I'd do that.

I'll add that CutleryShoppe.com is a SUPERB dealer and buying experience. I was going to send my kids to college. But, I gave it all to Jeff at CS instead. ;)

Well, not quite price increase as Jeff says. More like less discounted. Same effect though.

Weird., I paid $126.75
Free shipping with "dunce cap" code though.
A heck of a deal either way.

I'm interested in this one but the price increase was the deal breaker for me. Guess won't be ordering one. That kind of practice turns me off.

I've got one ordered and am looking forward to it as I love my Millie in XHP. Been rocking the blue P2 in M390 this weekend and it is fantastic, 2 thumbs up for sure. It's a good time to be a P2 lover right now.

The price increase has been clearly stated in the Preorder thread. Its not that the price increased, but Jeff offered more discount to the first buyers and is slowly raising to the actual selling price/msrp.
He could have just sold them for his full price.

You snooze, you lose. you can't expect them to sell a limited production knife just above basic pricing; JMO

Just wait till they're all sold and hit the secondary market after release.
Jeff's prices will be far less than what any ebay sale will fetch.
These will sell like fire on ebay at probably $200-$250 easy... Wrong yes, but it's inevitable.

Example: There was a Blue Para-Military 2 M390 that just sold for $256 on eBay  , and BBS still has them up for sale at $179.95. ...

So glad I made the early pre-order. I only got one though, I didn't want to be selfish.

With Ca. sales tax & shipping, the seller broke even if you add in ebay fees.
Well, he may have made $4.00

I didnt get the blue one. It would have been $201 to my door.
It was a good idea though. Blue M390 PM2.
LOL LOL
