Orange Para-Military2 on CutleryShoppe.com

Post by -F1 »

A CutleryShoppe.com exclusive, now sold out. Here it is.

Blade Steel: CTS-XHP (click for steel info)

800-Piece Production

Delivery estimate: April, 2012

I am in no way associated with CutleryShoppe.com, other than as a customer. In fact, when I posted this, I had not actually paid CutleryShoppe.com for anything, so I technically was not even a "customer" yet. CutleryShoppe.com did NOT ask me to post this, and had NOTHING whatsoever to do with it. I'm just trying to help out, and honestly, it's probably the last time I will do it.

Dang! Great steel used on this one. Not enough of my cash to go around, as I have a blue Para 2 in M390 on the way, among other pre-orders. This CS model is bargain-priced, to boot!

Thanks for the heads up. I'm in for one! I like the fact it's not priced super high too.

Thanks for the heads up. It is certainly priced much cheaper than I would have guessed, as I was thinking it would be closer to $140-150 with the materials used. Too bad I just spent so much on the blue M390 version, or I'd pick up one of these in a heartbeat.

I was whining about missing the boat, and ended up being first in line. Go figure. My thanks go to Jeff.

I'm not sure if this should make me feel like an idiot for getting ready to pay $180 for the Smurf PM2 in M390 (which I've also pre-ordered).

Trying to think of a good nickname for this one... Smurf is perfect for the other one, but orange? I'm thinking...

Carrot Para-Military2
Pumpkin Para-Military2
Sunkist Para-Military2
Tang Para-Military2
Home Depot Para-Military2
Cheetos Para-Military2
Basketball Para-Military2
Mac & cheese Para-Military2
Pre-rusted Para-Military2
Garfield Para-Military2
Motrin Para-Military2
Traffic cone Para-Military2
Ernie Para-Military2

OK, I just realized this probably classifies me as clinically insane...

Excellent. I'd been guessing S30V (no problem with that), but XHP is a step up.

I just put my order in!!! :D I think they are going fast. Regarding your comment on the reasonable price, below is the tagline from the CS site and note that it says SPECIAL PRE-ORDER PRICING - so the price may go up after the pre-order period. (but then again, Jeff's prices are always reasonable). Get 'em while they are HOT!

"PARA-MILITARY 2 - C81GPOR2 - CTS-XHP Blade - Orange G-10 Handle - Cutlery Shoppe Exclusive - LIMITED TIME SPECIAL PRE-ORDER PRICING"

I didn't mean to cause you frustration. I do confess to being a bit embarrassed for some of the comments I've made about this knife, but I had no clue whatsoever how these things work. You'd think that ignorance would encourage me to remain silent, but no. (No need to point out the "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt" quote. It does apply in my case for sure. :) )

Thanks for the heads up that this was now available for order! My order has been placed and confirmed.

I've been checking diligently every day and it wasn't up yet earlier this morning. Been looking forward to these additional versions of the Paramilitary 2!
