After using it for years in my Truck I lost my original big dyad. Does anyone know how available they are, and what a reasonable price would be to pay for one in new condition. thanks.

Not an easy search

Sad to say they are not easily available. The price you can get one for depends on whether you get a new on still in the box or you snag one that's been used. Either way I'm sure you're going to part with at least $150 to $200.

The C-44 Dyad is one of my all time favorite blades. I'm hoping for either a new model H-1 Dyad or a new Sprint Run in VG-10 or one of the super-steels.

I wish you luck in your search and I hope Spyderco does one of the above. I want a new one with new steel myself.

Beware of websites that claim that they have it

I don't mean to be a "fly in the ointment" but many of those websites that claim that they have certain hard to find Spyders are all talk. I can't tell you how many sites I explored a while back that claimed that they had some of the older fully serrated Catchermans to find out that they hadn't had any in years but yet the site was still up there saying otherwise :(

I wish you the best of luck on your search. Your best bet would probably be to get a Gold Membership on Bladeforums and put in your request. It's probably going to be a private collector that has one that they could sell you.

That price of $174 seems to darn good to be true to me  Good Luck with your search

Don't give up on your lost Dyad, many a lost spydie have found there way back home so I wish you the best of luck. I sold one recently or I would help you out, they are pretty hard to find and fetch a good price.
