Sorry for deleting the other thread... but some of you had some great options that I forgot about! This is why I love this place... ok updated for this last time.

Reminder: I can only have a small knife at work now (smaller than my much loved delica) and I can't decide which to get. Let me know! hopefully ordering it within the next few days... I'll definitely let you know when I order it! All the options are for the standard knives... I would love to add the ZDP dragonfly... but can't for now.

Thanks in advance! you guys are awesome :D

I just got a ZDP Ladybug and it's perfect for the majority of my daily cutting needs. I've come to the conclusion that carrying a Ladybug and then a larger knife like a Para 2 is a perfect combo. The Ladybug takes the abuse/use, while your primary knife stays sharp. Then the Ladybug is a breeze to sharpen since there's only just over an inch of blade to touch up.

The Dragonfly FRN in any steel is the best knife on your list, IMO. Unlike tons of others, I'm no fan of the g-10 version, but that's another story.

In the previous thread I voted for the Ambitious but I'm biased as I have never even seen a Chicago (except for pictures). But I changed my vote to the Dragonfly FRN as I think it's ergos are superior to the Ambitious. VG10 would have better corrosion resistance than the 8Cr13Mov too.

I have an Ambitious & I like that I don't have to baby it because it was so cheap. I regularly use it as a little prybar for large packing staples & the like. It has a very short stout blade with a very strong tip which makes it good for using a bit harder than normal.

I also have a Byrd Robin.. another very cheap 8Cr13Mov steel knife in a very similar vein. I prefer the Ambitious though just because it looks better imo.

yeah I have a Robin2 right now but I effed up the scales while trying to paint them randomly... wish I hadn't now that I need it... I'm planning on making some G10 scales for it soon... playing with some others now too

I'll vote for the CAT, the original. I past on the chance to pick one up and I have been kicking myself ever since.

Before I vote...is this just a knife for work use? Are you going to carry it outside work? Are you going to carry 2 at work and only use the small one while you are there?

Voted for the Cat then. If you are carrying a larger second folder, then something small and discrete is good for around work.

Perfect work EDC... I must say. A little on the tiny side though for box opening...

Yes. You'll need something a little bigger, like the ladybug.

I voted Dragonfly, but would you consider the Cricket? Is my favorite by far for small knives.
On order: Maxamet Native 5
Current pocket hog: S90V Para2
Next up: Something Blurple

I voted for the Dragonlfy, but as a follow up if you also want a smaller knife, look at the Ladybug ZDP-189, and for a bit bigger you can't beat the Para 2.
