Took my old millie apart to clean & lube. Had it 15 years and never took it apart. Now I get 1/16 th of an inch of play up and down no matter how tight the screw is. What happened ? and how do I fix it. thanks for all help.

I also notice the blade sits farther down into the frame when closed, if that helps.

I assume you mean side to side, but side to side or up and down?

I'm wondering if you somehow got your stop pin mixed up with the others (assuming it's an older model), but start again and read this first http://www.spyderco.com/forums/showthre ... itary+lego.

I couldn't find anything in the forum rules that prohibits links to content on another forum, and in this case it should prove helpful, so here you go:

Nice find, the eccentric pivot has been known to throw a few people off if their not expecting it. Personally I love them.

Excellent post and likely the solution for the OP. Note the date, though! - I don't remember when Spyderco stopped using the eccentric stop pin, but it was quite a few years ago.

As soon as I saw the words eccentric ,all made sense right now. 5 min. later Bingo . Thanks much. With magnification I could see it . Eyes are not what they were.
