Paramilitary 2 CF
Paramilitary 2 CF
Alright, since there have been 2 Military's that have come out in carbon fiber and another one going to be up for pre-order soon, there should be just as many CF Paramilitary 2's! :D
Well im one of the people who missed out on the S90V version for the Para 2 and am not willing to pay a super premium price for a second hand one. I was wondering if there are any plans to release another Paramilitary 2 sprint in some premium steel.
The carpenter BG-42 equivalent steel that was supposed to be on a Manix 2sprint would be nice, or S110v, or perhaps even some nice Vanax 75. If there is another CF Paramilitary sprint, which steel would you think be best for it?

I'm also in that category of really wanting a CF S90V para2 but the prices for the 2nd hand / scalped sprints on this particular model are just outrageous. There are some on ebay buy-it-now for over $400!
And honestly, the steel doesn't matter so much to me, I'm more interested in trying those CF scales.

I'd kill for some Vanax75, but word on the street is that it just isn't available. I do believe though that spyderco is cranking out sprints just as fast as they can. If you look at the rate of dealer exclusive sprints coming out, you start to wonder how on earth they are keeping up with production.
20CP is supposed to be virtually identical to S90V in composition as well as performance (the latter, according to Ankerson's comparison review). I guess it just doesn't have the reputation and name recognition yet.
I reprofiled it using the Sharpmaker diamond rods and found it was pretty easy going.

So can we actually buy premade CF scales like the scales on the CF S90V PM2? What website?VashHash wrote:Get a 20cp para and buy some peel ply from black site. It would probably be cheaper than the S90V para and perform pretty close. I doubt you wouldnt notice much difference. It seems easier to sharpen too. Of course I haven't had to reprofile it yet
Not pre-made. But you can buy CF and shape it yourself or send it to one of the many people on the internet that will do it for you.
