Advices Inviting For Fishing

I'm picking up a new hobby.. Fishing, and I bought a professional fishing Rod. Here I come up with some doubts.

1) Where can I learn to prepare the rod, with simple knots.
2) I want to catch small fish at the ocean, I was thinking of mixing dough and raw chicken cuttlet as a bait, can I mix baits on 1 hook?

I would suggest that you go through the fishing websites and see comments of the person who runs the business. They will surely provide you the details. If you need further clarifications you can just contact them and ask your queries and get clear it with an expertise hand. :)

For bait,i would try clams,shrimp,or cut bait. It really depends on what your fishing for though.
