... or Sugar Shane Mosley?

What's the consensus for this Saturday?

I'll be watching it at work (work for Dish) and I agree that Manny should be able to come out on top. That boy is a machine.

I gotta go with the Pacman as well. Besides the fact that he's such a sick fist-launching machine, his life story is pretty amazing too. It's just nearly impossible not to root for this guy.

And another win for Pacquiao!

I've gotta say there's been more spectacular fights, but I enjoyed watching nonetheless.

Kinda going backwards here, but I'm off to watch their pre-fight training videos now :p

This was one I didn't see but knew the outcome. Mosely is past his prime and Manny is at the top of his game. It's really kinda sad to see someone as talented as Manny who really does not have anyone else to fight. Mayweather would have been the only real choice but seems he is more interested in hitting on his wife and watching Lady Gaga concerts. Manny has got to be one of the most exciting fighters I have ever seen. Hate to see him reduced to chasing people around the ring who get a taste of his power and run for their life. They are now talking about a fight with Juan Manual Marquez who he has beaten twice already I think.

the fight right before the main event was great. i can't believe the guy's old man thru in the towel with like 30 seconds left in the 12th.

Well said. Now before I say anything else, I just wanna say that I know close to nothing about boxing. My girlfriend being Filipino, we're both fans of Pacman and I've only seen him fight, and a couple of his opponents fight against others. I know that Manny is powerful, but I suppose that because I haven't watched many other fights I can't gauge his power as compared to others'. His speed is easy to see. That said, "chasing people around the ring who get a taste of his power and run for their life" is the best description of the Saturday fight that I have heard thus far. I've seen Mosely fight others and he's fairly aggressive, I guess he got scared after being knocked down in the third round.

I agree that Mayweather would be the only real challenge, it's too bad he's the way he is. And I heard that they are planning another fight with Marquez as well. Not very exciting.

I like Marquez. He is a warrior and a good fighter but I just don't see him beating Manny. When I think about it, I'm not sure anyone could beat him right now. I have huge respect for Shane Mosely. He seems like an honorable man and was a great fighter in his day. I just think his day has passed.

He fought Oscar and after the fight Oscar retired. I think next he fought Ricky Hatton and won. Ricky I don't think has fought since. He beat Margarito before Mosley and sent him to the hospital. He is still healing from a broken orbital bone. Somewhere in the mix was Clotty and Cotto and sent both of them to the hospital after the fight.

I don't think the fight with Mayweather will ever happen. I don't think Mayweather has the guts to risk hurting that pretty face.
