Elisabeth Sladen Passed Away

Sad news.

For those of you who are fans of Doctor Who, Elisabeth Sladen, who played Sarah Jane Smith in the series, passed away Tuesday. :(

Tom Baker was my favorite Doctor, and Elisabeth Sladen was my favorite of his companions. She and Baker were my introductions to Doctor Who many years ago. I didn't realize until after reading some media accounts about her tonight that she reprised her role as Sarah Jane Smith many times in other episodes and spin-off programs after she left the series.

Elisabeth Sladen will be missed. Best wishes to her as she begins yet another new adventure, and best wishes to her family and friends.

I happened to start watching Dr. Who during the Tom Baker era so perhaps that's why he is my favorite doctor. While there is much debate about who the best doctor was, I think most everyone felt Ms. Sladen was the best sidekick.
Our reason is quite satisfied, in 999 cases out of every 1000 of us, if we can find a few arguments that will do to recite in case our credulity is criticized by someone else. Our faith is faith in someone else's faith, and in the greatest matters this is most the case.

Sad day for Doctor Who

My girlfriend and I just got into the series, but with the modern ones that started in 2005 or so. The show is excellent. I will have to go back and watch the older ones once I finish these four seasons, so probably Wednesday or thursday.

They are all on Netflix watch instantly so access to them is quick and easy. I am just now grasping the concept that the doctors change through out the series. I am hooked.

I feel especially bad about her passing away after having met her at Chicago Tardis. The way she was then you would never think she had cancer.
