tasman salt praise

#1

Post by white cloud »

some of you may have read about the tornadoes occurring in eastern north carolina last weekend. my mother's house was one of those damaged. fortunately my mom was not injured. on saturday i found out about this and assembled things i thought would be useful. this included flash lights, camping stove, chain saw and the like. honestly i was not prepared for how much damage there was to the place i grew up.

my edc this time of year is a sak and tasman salt. many hawkbill aficionados already know how useful this blade configuration is for everyday tasks. i really like the tasman for yard work and opening packaging at the office. it also rides
on my pfd when canoeing.

now i can attest to its usefulness in emergency home repair after this weekend. i cut a lot of plastic sheeting used to seal broken windows after they were covered with plywood. there was an endless array of packaging to open. we had to cover the roof with tarps and these needed trimming in some cases. at night the tasman was used for some food preparation. after two days of this the knife was still nice and sharp.

I completely agree to the Tasman's usefulness. I use the **** out of mine everyday at the greenhouse/nursery that I work at. People ask to use my Tasman because it is a pocket chainsaw that I can put away wet. I'm sorry to hear about your family home.

Tasman Salts are fantastic. I use my Tasman and Salt I's for sailing. I just got back from a sailing trip in BVI and carried them with me down there for food prep and work on the boat. Love them so I know where your coming from.

It really is fantastic. I had one in PE and loved it.

I gifted it to a friend in the Marshall Islands who will use it everyday fishing in the salt water. He'll get better use from that H1 than I will. But I'm itching to get another one. I love how light but rigid linerless FRN is.
