Jester Sprint

#1

Post by sal »

Hi all,

There was a request and a thread on our making a Jester Sprint run. There were requests for a handle other than FRN.

My thoughts were to make the scales from G-10. Thoughts were for gray as a possible color as ther isn't much gray around. My question is; if we make gray G-10 scales for a Jester Sprint run, would you want the scales to be polished smooth, or peel-ply?

May I be the first to reply and say "smooth" as you did with the red Persian. Thanks for maybe bringing back the Jester. One little knife I love.

I'm going to have to vote against smooth for the peel-ply texturing, just feels better in the hands for me

SHUWEEETTTT!!! Thanks Sal.

I'll take either, but I'm leaning toward smooth to make it a bit more classy.

Awesome!

I'd vote for smooth too. I don't need a crazy level of traction for a little folder.

Definitely textured...it's a little knife and needs all the grip it can get. This is awesome news, i've wanted a Jester for the longest time...i missed the opportunity to buy one when they were out. What kind of steel?

A small knife needs grip, peel-ply has plenty. The jester has no clip, so sliding in and out of the pocket should not be a problem. Grey sounds nice. Take care.

Thanks for considering a Jester sprint. I'll buy 10! :D

I vote for smooth, and a light grey (like the FRN UKPK).

I'd vote smooth too. It's not meant for terribly strenuous cutting. Peel ply shouldn't be necessary for functionality. For classiness smooth would be great. Thanks for the news Sal!

Man I love Spyderco.
I'm gonna have to vote for Peel Ply, love the feel of it.Not to smoothy not to textured.

Sal, you might wanna start a poll, as I see this thread getting rather long.

Smooth and Grey

#19

Post by DevilDog1833 »

Timely, Sal. I was just perusing the internet to find a good price on a ladybug, and thinking to myself, "Man I wish I could find a Jester somewhere."

I'll buy one regardless of color and texture, but since I get a vote, I'll take my g10 smooth and grey. Like 2cha said - for my pocket's sake.
