how can i clean g 10?

I recently acquired a new manix 2 in orange g 10 and around the cage ball lock on the g 10 theres already a bunch of crap accumulating from my hands rubbing agianst it while i disengage the lock, even tho i am usually washing my hands before i touch this blade, since it is my precious.

is there a simple way to get this stuff off the g 10 without dissembling the blade? and when it gets dirty enough to the point where i want to take it apart, what can i use as a solvent to clean the dirty g 10?

also i feel this blade would be better suited as a tip down, but i can see why its not.

Try some dish soap. And a sponge or toothbrush. Cleaned my orange Millie up perfectly. And definitely no need to take anything apart, except maybe the clip.

I clean my g-10 with soap and water.

Just a wet toothbrush or perhaps a schotchbrite pad (blue, of course).

liquid soap and hot water is what I use. An old toothbrush helps for the crevices.

What others have said, liquid soap, warm water, toothbrush and sometimes I use toothpaste. Gives a minty fresh smell to your knife. :D

I thought I heard if you use warm water instead of cold it will fade the g-10? Maybe I was told incorrectly

After a good cleaning with a mild detergent and a toothbrush, i will sometimes put a hint of miltech on the edges of the G-10 and rub/work it in real well. Kind of gives new life to G-10 when its starts to show its age.

compressed air pistol+a wet sponge always work!

greetings all,
a soft toothbrush with water only. lightly q-tip some wd-40 and your g10 will look as good as new. works for me all the time. the wd-40 brings it back to life.
