Merry Christmas! Whats under the tree?
Good morning to everyone this Christmas! I hope you all have a fantastic and safe holiday season, but today is the big day that we've all been waiting for!
So i woke up this morning, went downstairs to some hot, fluffy pancakes with the family, then then we opened gifts. Boy was i glad to see a very unusual sight while opening presents, a knife!
Got myself a nice Assist orange FRN under the tree. Its a fantastic knife, and i absolutely love it! The handles are quite chunky, though, so it should handle well with gloves.
Edit: It already bit me! Looks like a keeper. Just got a bit of serration stabbing into my finger, and it bled for a LONG time before it stopped. Another one chose me! Oh well, at least i'm okay. It got plenty of use opening every kind of package and gift today, im very pleased with its performance, although not having a tip can be quite the setback sometimes. I was having troubles with the whistle, and i couldn't figure out why. Then i thought, why am i blowing straight into the knife so that the whistle is crooked? So i blew into the whistle straight holding the knife crooked, and man that whistle is SHRILL! Should be an amazing user that i will gladly carry with me. Sounds like my go to beater/survival knife, and with VG-10 steel, it can handle the beatings too. Would like to see an H1 version of this. (Nudge, nudge Sal...)End Edit
How about you guys? What Spyderco presents did you receive this morning?

Giving my 22 yr old son a CF ZDP Caly 3 later today.
This should work well as he is a lefty.
Last year it was a L handed Military, and a civilian before that.....
For me, its X-mas all year long! LOL LOL
Hope everyone has a great day!
And don't run potato peels down the garbage disposal today!
(Ask me how I know) :D
