Black handle dye

I've seen a lot of threads on here about dyeing handles . Can you dye black ones or are they to dark to change color?

I think you can only start with lighter colors and dye them darker colors. I wish it worked the other way too though.
The beauty of the second amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it.

It's sort of like Henry Ford said...you can dye black any color you want, as long as it's black. ;) You need to start with a lighter color, ideally white, possibly yellow or pink. Tan or forest green might work, for some darker colors.

You could, however, do something like DuraCoat, which opens up a lot more choice, but you might need a white undercoat to start.
