Making Bushcraft Handles

#1

Post by Spyderman62 »

I recently ordered one of the Spyderco Bushcraft Blanks, and was hoping I could come to y'all to get information, and guidance, on making some handles for it. I bought a piece of oak to get started as my woodworking skills are not the best, and I was wondering if y'all could enlighten me as to where I can find pins to keep the handles on the blank. Any information is greatly appreciated and I will truly grateful.

For my mule handles, I use these guys:

For pins or bolts you can go to Jantz, K&G, or Sheffield Knife Supplies. I think you need 3/16 pins or 1/4 bolts with 3/16 shanks.

CHECK THIS OUT this should help you on your fastener question. Maybe someone at Spyderco will chime in, but I believe the holes in the Bushcraft are metric....

here is the thread I started on USN about the handle materials and fasteners. Bushcraft handle questions
