Mule in S90V
Incredible knife! I really like the cutting power.
Im getting ready to sharpen it for the first time. What do you guys recommend I use (diamond stones?)?
What angle is recommended for a light use knife with this steel? (I wont be doing any chopping or hacking)

What sharpening equipment do you have available? I keep my S90V knives at 30 degrees inclusive on my Sharpmaker. I usually start with diamonds and then progress through to the fine rods.

I'm sure any of those could handle the S90V mule. The edge pro would probably give you more accurate bevel angles. If you use the polish tapes you'd get a mirrored edge as well.ricklee4570 wrote:I have an Apex and a DMT Aligner.

That's nonsense. I used paper wheels with Silicone Carbide and Aluminum Oxide grit that's glued onto the wheel to reprofile, followed by the polishing wheel using white polishing compound (Jacksonlea C-5).ricklee4570 wrote:I heard through another forum that nothing but diamonds works on the S90V.

I love mine at 20 degrees inclusive. :D

Agree re: nonsense. I have successfully sharpened the Military, Manix 2 and Mule on the Sharpmaker.dsmegst wrote:That's nonsense.
