sage CF & Manix 2 ffg (foliage green g10)
sooo happy with these blades anyone else feel the same or have any opinions?
I think the foliage green Manix 2 is a great knife with a great new steel. But the Sage, well I know it makes other people's eyes pop out and their jaw hit the floor but for some reason I don't share that feeling. Maybe there is something I'm missing, but I'm just not feeling it.

Each time I get a new Spydie, there is a part of me that feels that way, wants to keep that special knife in its box, but then part of me says "What's the point of having a nice steel if I'm not going to use it, get the advantage of it? Might as well be collecting coins or something!" :Dtahomazz wrote:also because the manix is a sprint i dont want to use it!
I still don't like cutting packaging tape with my nice knives though, getting the blade all gunked up from the tape :) I get OCD to clean the blades back up right away.

Just got my XHP Manix a few days ago. Although my expectations were very high, it still managed to exceed them :D . Great action, great build quality, great weight, perfectly textured and colored G-10...and I love how the FFG blade is thick enough to inspire confidence but still can slice like crazy. it's definitely the sharpest spydie from the factory I've gotten.
Sage was up there in terms of sharpness as well. pretty much everything I said about the manix applies to the sage. The CF texture is perfect, its lw, great steel, great fit and finish etc. I love both and have been carrying them quite a bit

LOL same here...I mean there really is an advantage to wiping your blade after use, helps keep it rust free and smooth on the surface for slicing..but I certainly do wipe them down a lot :) . But like you said, there's no point in owning them if you're not going to use them. For the first few weeks I got into spydies I just carried my tenacious cause I wasn't scared of losing it, but I got bored with it, and also realized, whats the point of having more expensive blade steels if you don't see how they perform and make use of them?rodloos wrote:Each time I get a new Spydie, there is a part of me that feels that way, wants to keep that special knife in its box, but then part of me says "What's the point of having a nice steel if I'm not going to use it, get the advantage of it?
