Flat Iron- Pics!!

#1

Post by WireEdge Roger »

I just received my brand new in the box Flat Iron folder. I really wish these were available, because I absolutely love the size and feel of it. The old Rescue handle is so comfortable, and that blade shape is like a long leaf pattern. Perfection!

Guess I put it on the shelf due to its rarity, but I'd sure like to carry it around!

Although I have seen it in pictures of catalogs never saw one in nice crisp photos like this.

Looks like a pretty cool spydie!

They are fairly rare from what I hear. I would like to see a H1 version in the original blade style. That looks like a rescue handle , and a Mariner has the same handle only in stainless.Sooooo all Stainless with H1 blade would be what I would want. :D

Nice score! I say if the USN can resurrect the Catcherman as their forum knife, then we should push to get this as ours :)

There is also a smaller 3 version of this design that uses the worker handle shape but has a leaf shape with a swedge. Does anyone know the name of that model? I saw one pop up on eBay a while ago but can’t remember the name, I think it might have been only exclusive to distributors in japan

I wouldn’t say they are related but is this what you are thinking of?

You kids were getting me all excited with this talk of flat irons--but also confused. After all, what do flat irons have to do with knives? By the time I figured out that the flat iron was a knife, it was too late. Here's a flat iron and a knife.
