i read here a while back that sal was going to release bushcraft blanks, no handles, no sheath. so i cheaked the store today and there were bushcraft 2nds again!
i regretted not getting 2 last time, so i ordered 2 this time, one for me, one for my buddy who loved my first one.

thanks a bunch sal, i cant understand why everyone dont love the bushcraft as much as me.

yeah, I noticed that. I'm happy with mine. I needed it for some wood carving recently. What a great job it did. It's beautiful too. A little super glue filled the gaps.

Thanks for the heads up. Just ordered one. Ninety dollars is a steal for this blade.

The Bushcraft is my favorite fixed blade. Glad you foliks have a chance to grab one. Watch out though, that 01 will rust of you look at it sideways, but it takes and keeps an edge extremely well. Enjoy them :D

I went up to the SFO today and picked up another one - saves on shipping and I am able to choose my handle a little easier. for $90 you really can't go wrong even if with a crack!

That's a great deal considering it's with sheath.

They were sold out before I heard about them the first time. Got all excited when I read this post but apparently the NY foolishness includes fixed blades as well now... Was removed from my cart when I tried to check out and according to a call to the SFO, only slipits and sharpeners are shipping my way now. Couldn't have released this batch of seconds a couple months ago guys? The DA just cost you another couple hundred dollars and ruined my day.

Love the Bushcrafts, but I have 2 now and don't need anymore. They are terrific user knives, are great with wood, have used mine a bunch for food prep too, and hold a terrific edge. I'd suggest keeping the Scandi grind on them though, it's just a part of what makes them so wonderful to use :D

http://www.spyderco.com/forums/showthre ... hlight=nyc

for more opinions and information on the NYC law interpretation.

The DA is only trying to secure his political future in a very sleazy and oppressive way. I'll try to look into how the state is interpreting currently and will bump the attached post if I can find anything new out. The Supreme court decision that has happened since might affect the situation.
