I think all the screws in the handle ruin the custom look.

I think I'm going to try and get one - but as a project knife. Repolish the bolsters and put some nice wood (ironwood, amboyna burl, etc) scales on it - blue just doesn't do it for me..

Got to say, the wood doesn't do it for me ... I'd have gone for a smooth CF :)

EDIT: Just had another look at the photos and have to say I agree with most of the comments here ... too "busy" and too many screws ... not sure whether I like the blue bolsters either. Sorry, but I would absolutely *love* to see a Damascus Spyderco ... but with a more subdued design.
My spydies: Squeak, Tenacious, Terzuola, D'Allara, UKPK CF peel-ply pre-production, UKPK CF smooth pre-production, UKPK G10 orange leaf-blade, UKPK FRN grey drop-point, UKPK FRN maroon leaf-blade, Bug ... all PE blades :)

IIRC somebody mentioned MSRP around $300.
I will pass: to many screw and with all my love to bolsters, these are not my cup of tea.

There is too much going on for me. I'll pass.

Add me to the pass list. I love good looking Damascus and bone, but Spyderco has managed to dredge up some of the least attractive specimens of both I've ever seen. Then they iced the cake by adding two totally WTF features, the oddly angled dent in the bolster and the uber-tactical jimped liners.

I'm getting at least one. I think it will look less busy in the hand than it does in close ups.

I'll take 2 please. I saw it and handled it at BLADE and I really liked this one. Kind of retro and futuristic at the same time. Way to go Eric and Sal.

I wish that instead of putting a Damascus blade on a cheap knife like the Delica Spyderco would release a high end folder, something in the 3.5 to 4" blade size, S90V or CTS-XHP, caged BBL or Comp Lock, Ti liners and CF scales, if possible not just plain flat slabs but contoured.

If I can afford it, I'll get one of these, and if I think I will prefer different handle scales than I will go from there. Sounds like the price is going to be pretty decent for a unique piece that is potentially a looker and a user (yes, I would use this knife too-call me crazy, but all my knives are users even if they are only rarely used)

Im probably gonna pass. I like the looks. I dont have the same dislikes as some of youse guys, but it looks too nice and I would never use it. Im starting to have enough knives that dont get enough pocket time. Adding one that I know I wont use just wont cut it (pun intended).

You can add me to the list of guys who think that Spyderco does not do "beautiful" as well as some other folks do. But they sure do push the envelope on cool, neat, interesting and functional. I am still in the CC, so I am in for whatever comes; however, this is one knife that I am not anxiously awaiting. Maybe it will be a pleasant surprise.

I love the Delica 4 as a knife, so I hate to say it, but I think this one looks like a mess. I say leave that other company to produce those expensive messes of knives on their own :p

I feel like $300 is a lot for a knife that ugly.
