Reprofiling a kitchen knife. Anybody heard of Nicole Tableware of Portugal? Seller say the molybdenum vanadium steel they use is ~1% carbon similar to vg10, but when I googled the company it's as if it doesn't exist. Anyway I'm getting it to 20° inclusive with 30° microbevel and see how it performs.

Reading the posts in your thread, drinking a Coors, waiting for Pizza Hut, and sitting here with a Spyderco Manix FG PE, Spyderco Chokwe, Spyderco Delica 4 SE, Spyderco P'Kal, Buck 110 Folding Hunter, Emerson CQC-7B with plain edge satin-finish blade, and a nice assortment of Leatherman products. Oh, yeah, and a couple of nice pocket knives and flashlights. :)

just finsihed up a knife for Paul...and yes i took a few pics too :) the wood is red palm, the knife feels like a braile page.
that and checking out what my new flashlight can do...the camera just couldnt take good pictures of how well this thing lights up distant objects. the one that came out is only 100' away or so, there is a pretty big tree 2 blocks over and i was lighting that up from my house easily...this thing may not be the 1200 lumens that it claims but it is pretty **** bright.

Normally I'd be at work by now, but instead I'm working a day shift in the ER tomorrow. Not sure which is better.

Took a break from cleaning and am listening to John Prine Live. What a great songwriter. I became a huge Steve Goodman fan when I bought his second album by chance. Eventually that led me to John Prine who wrote many classic songs and penned what I believe to be the saddest line ever in the song, "Sam Stone": "There's a hole in daddy's arm where all the money goes."
Our reason is quite satisfied, in 999 cases out of every 1000 of us, if we can find a few arguments that will do to recite in case our credulity is criticized by someone else. Our faith is faith in someone else's faith, and in the greatest matters this is most the case.
