What is your most satisfying cuting task...?

Thread name says it all...

Mine is when I cut Plastic Pellicule (Saran wrap !) in one shot like it was scared of the blade because the metal thingy that is supposed to cut it fell off...

Most satisfying?

I'd have to say it was old bedroom carpet. I put my Salt 1 to the test and it passed with flying colors. It was awesome to see my Spydie tear through tough material and handle some hard use.

I like cutting and breaking down stuff - big cardboard boxes are fun. Tougher materials are more fun like the previosly mentioned carpet. To be honest, its even more fun to do this when other folks are around to witness how easy it is with my Spydie!

I'd have to say that using my Rock Salt to decapitate zombies is my favorite cutting task. ;) Probably my second favorite thing is letting people borrow one of my knives to cut something and then watching their reaction when the knife easily glides through the object, their eyes get big, and they say "Wow! That is one sharp knife!"

YEA, decapitate zombies. Or something that resembles one.
I'd rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6.

Just today I bisected a pair of 32 gallon plastic trash cans at church with my FFG Delica, while wearing a suit. The other usher couldn't believe it was possible. The cans were shot and needed to fit inside a bigger can. The 4 halves nested nicely and took up little space against the curved wall of the bigger can.

The satisfaction comes less from the specific task and more from doing what most cannot do, right when it needs to be done.

I'm an admirer of Spyderco's designs. Using them is like immersing yourself in music or studying a painting in a museum. I buy some "fine" art but my preference is for usable art.

I have to say, cutting steak.

Especially when the best everyone else has is plastic utensils.

My NEXT cutting job will be the most satisfying (whatever it may be). Any time I need to cut and can, I am totally satisfied.

In general terms, food prep is a very satisfying task. I love eating...it is probably my second favorite activity!
Thanks,

Probably whittling branches - very relaxing, fun, and everyone should do it at least once. Funny, I almost always use a Spydie to cut Saran Wrap (that stupid, useless  cutter thing  that makes it all  wrinkle up after it finally rips crooked :mad :) . :)

- best wishes, Jazz.
