At last, a ripped Lum Chinese.

Love these simple but elegant knives and they are a great gent's knives. I have a green VG10 and it will stay that way. However I longed to give my black ZDP189 more muscle. It's ZDP blade is a powerhouse of cutting and begs for a framelock. Until now I didn't have the ability to work (sucessfully) with the thicker titaniums. I must say I don't know if I will try to convert another one(hats off to STR:cool :) , becaust it's a bear to work with.

I am pleased with the outcome. This shows the great potential of another super Spyderco product.

.090" Ti frame, .032" Ti liner, Black/Green G10, Ti clip .032".
Thickness remains the same, weight slightly up. Feels grippy in hand. Note the minor choil(no cutting of the blade).

Wow! I love how the two-color G-10 came out, especially.

Very nice work. I like this knife a lot. Not sure about jimpings, but everything else is great.

Fantastic work. It looks like it was shipped from the factory that way.

Wonderful knife, congratulations and enjoy it. Thanks for sharing the great pics, it's just the way the Chinese should have been from the very beginning :)

I've been wanting to get a Lum for a while now and seeing what you've done with yours make me want to get one even more, even though it won't be as cool as yours. Do you buy the G10 like that or do you "scoop" it out to get that gnarled look?

nice conversion! i like the way the lum comes from the factory (just personal preference) but this was a great job of rebuilding the knife which is no easy task.
